Terrified of writing? A ghost might be just what you need!
Many professionals have a lot to say and recognize the value of having by-lined articles, books and other written products to enhance their exposure and credibility. But often they don’t have the time, skill or comfort to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard).
That’s where I come in!
The process: Most often, I spend a bit of time "interviewing" clients who hire me to ghost for them. I ask them to describe their opinions, theory, anecdotes from their business practice. I supplement that with research on supporting statistics and other facts.
The result: Once I create a draft that captures what they want to communicate—in their own "voice" and style—the client may edit the piece.
The time: Their total investment in time might be one to five hours for an article, column or book chapter.
My ghost projects have included:
Magazine articles and columns
Books (family and corporate histories, business & how-tos)
Website content
Radio / audio scripts /Speeches
